Feather Tip Cutting Guides DXF

$3.00

For those of you making your own wings, it can be hard to shape the tips of your feathers when you haven’t done it before. These tip guides should help you to design and cut your wings a bit easier. Primaris are 4.5in wide, and secondaries are 4in wide. You may need to shorten or lenghten these designs based on the size of your wing. Be sure to only stretch or lenghten in one direction. Maintain the width of the feathers.

Please note that you should gradualy change size and shape between primaries and secondaries, as well as between feather shapes. I typically like to have 2-3 transitionary feathers between shapes depending on the size of the wing. For my standard sets, I make about 5-6 swooped primaries, two gradual transitions to pointed, 4-5 pointed, two transitions to rounded, and and the rest rounded. Obviously, you can do whatever you want to acchieve your prefered look.
